About Eugene Ohuu
Eugene Ohu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management at the Lagos Business School, Nigeria. His teaching and research on human-computer interaction in the workplace and non-work domains bring together his interests in psychology, technology and communication. He is the Director & principal investigator at the Virtual Human Computer Interaction (VHCI) Lab, an immersive reality (virtual and augmented) research lab domiciled at the business school.

At the VHCI Lab, Dr Ohu is exploring the implications of using immersive virtual worlds to improve character strengths such as empathy and compassion, well-being and productivity.

With a foresight on the future role of immersive technologies, in 2018, he began a multi-year ongoing study on models of effective and efficient advertising in Virtual Reality, as well as its impact on users. He is also working with his team to develop VR solutions for training and simulations.

Dr Ohu is an External Examiner for the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business, University of the West Indies and a member of various professional associations including the American Psychological Association (APA). He regularly reviews for the Journal of Business Ethics and the APA journal, Technology Mind and Behavior (TMB). He is on the executive board of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), the managers of the .ng country code domain.
